Accomplished Arbitrator, Attorney, and former Corporate Executive with experience in critical thinking, legal interpretation, and bringing to judgment or amicable resolution complex disputes.
Currently I am a full-time Arbitrator and Member of the American Arbitration Association Roster of Neutrals. I have been on their Roster since 2014. Immediately prior to this I was an Attorney/Arbitrator at Burkett Law Office in Fort Myers, Florida from August, 2014 until December 31, 2022. Prior to that I was General Counsel of Nightingale Home Healthcare Inc. in Carmel, Indiana, and fomerly Deputy General Counsel for CNO Financial Group, Inc. (formerly known as Conseco Inc.) and its various insurance subsidiaries, also located in Carmel, Indiana. At CNO I was head of the Litigation Section, managing a department of 20 employees, along with responsibility for several hundred lawsuits all over the U.S., including several class actions. Prior to that I was Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Rush County, Indiana.
