Lakeisha Latoya Babers

MY name is Robert and I am the Custodial Parent of an 11 yo boy with Autism. I met Ms Lakeisha Babers through HOFLAS in Bartow and was represented by her starting around June 2010. She withdrew from my case and left me without any representation approximately one year later. I questioned her... ability and her interest in my case due to many issues that had presented themselves and would have been addressed by most other attorneys but were not seemingly important to her. Hours of Mediation and then a continuance of mediation..No real push to bring this matter to court......Just a constant flow of delays and continuances. It was then that I realized that both myself and my son were in grave circumstances and I wrote Ms. Babers an email. It is from this email that she decided that I was combative and she withdrew from my case. When an Attorney doesn’t ask you what happened in your life to cause you to seek counsel and doesn’t show any concern or empathy for a client; it makes you wonder if they are working for Justice or just paying the bills…..
