Shawn is Certified by the Florida Bar as an Expert in Civil Trial Law.  Florida Bar Board Certification is a highly recognizable distinction that has been granted to less than 2% of Florida Lawyers.  Shawn has been practicing civil trial law since 2006 and has handled thousands of civil cases.  Prior to becoming a Civil Trial Lawyer, Shawn practiced exclusively as a criminal Defense Lawyer for nearly three years and represented thousands of clients charged with various degrees of crimes. 

Currently, Shawn practices Civil Law.  Civil Law includes cases such as personal injury, automobile accidents, slip and fall, boating accident, trucking accidents, dog bites, negligent security, and insurance disputes.  

Shawn graduated with honors from the Thomas M. Cooley College of Law in December of 2002. During law school, Shawn was an editor of the Law Review, a member of the 60+ elder law clinic, and participated in mock trials and moot court programs and competitions.

In his free time, Shawn remains very active in the local community. He is a member of the Bartow Rotary Club and has served as the Secretary of the Rotary Club. He currently serves as President of the Bartow Rotary Club. For the past four years, Shawn has volunteered his time to teach high school students about the law and trial practice and procedure.

Settlement was great thanks Jiles Law
I was injured in a fall at a large department store. I looked for an attorney who was willing to handle the case. Shawn Jiles was not my first choice as I had not heard of his firm. After searching for an attorney who was willing to take on the case I found the Jiles Law Firm. I am so glad the I had them represent me. They were caring and concerned as to my wellbeing and the extent of my injury. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a lawyer to represent them.

Accident injure case. ICouldn't have hired a better laywer.
I hired Jiles law 2014 for an accident I was involved in. When I was able to make a hast appointment they welcomed me with open arms. They referred me to all of the right people by that I mean two great chiropractic services as well as one of the top surgeons in the state of Florida. I can only speak for myself when saying this but everyone at Jiles law have become somewhat like my own family members over the time that I have been consulting with them. As a result of me hiring their law firm I was able to receive the amount that was reasonable and I willingly accepted I couldn't be more happy with all around service from the day I met them until the day I settled I cannot be happier with the outcome of the case.

Phenomenal service
Very pleased with how my case was handled as well as the turn out. I loved how attentive and personable him and his staff are. A great lawyer and an even better citizen
Shawn is a fantastic attorney who really does a great job interacting with his clients and making the courtroom a positive experience. He has a personality that makes him very easy to talk to and has a deep knowledge of the law. Shawn fights for his clients and also spends his free time working in and supporting his community. He is active in several civic organizations and supports the citizens of the county that trust and support him. A lot of people are afraid to consult an attorney and if that person is you I suggest you give Shawn a chance. He will fight for you whatever your need may be and make it as enjoyable as possible along the way. The only knock on Shawn is that he is a fan of the BIG 10, but since he is such a great guy I am willing to overlook that and send any and all referrals his way. This is one hard working lawyer that has a great courtroom presence and that goes a long way with the jury.
