Poor Communication, Never Follows Up

I hired Bill Allen to manage my divorce and in person, he comes across as very knowledgable, reasonable, and rational. That's where it ends. After I hired him, getting any type of action, response, or follow-up with him was like pulling teeth. I don't know if he was just lazy, overbooked, or has poor... communication skills but we had a verbal agreement on a settlement agreement that he just sat on and never acted on despite my constant emails, phone calls, and begging. Ultimately my ex changed her mind and I lost out on the opportunity to close my divorce due to Bill's inaction. I ended up hiring another lawyer who settled my case, but with much less favorable terms.

terrible terrible terrible

This process of getting a divorce is hard enough but to have been mis-lead by your office is inexcusable. I was again promised a call by Mr. Allen last night when I spoke with Janie Friday 8/5/16 and again no call was received. This has been habitual during this process with your office. The lack o...f knowledge of Ms. Ziegler as Mr. Allen’s assistant ceases to amaze me. I would think my questions are typical of a divorce preceding but to be recommended to call DMV with my questions regarding trading in a vehicle by x – really? My final hearing date was July 6 and was told by Mr. Allen he would provide the paperwork to the judge and I would be divorced by the end of the next week. Well its August 9th and the Judge only received the paperwork from your office on August 2nd per the email below received today after I called the judges office to obtain an update. Mr. Allen’s excuse was he went on vacation - I would expect this from a first time attorney but not an experienced one which was represented to me when I hired this office for my business. I don’t think you care about your clients at all – you don’t realize this is a “life event” - I realize I am only a paycheck to you. That is very apparent. I am extremely unhappy with your office’s lack of professionalism during this process.

Dependency matter

We obtain an attorney who was a fantastic sells man however, two month into our case this attorney was unprepared for each court hearing and did Not understand the process let alone know how to request discovery. We than fired that attorney and hired Bill. At mediation Bill came out swinging and info...rmed the department what was going to be allowed at trail removing all the hear say and non relevant information. Gave them the "best offer" We would accept. We left with no deal. The next week he filed a motion and argued our case before the judge. The following week the department came back with the deal we originally said and that deal was no longer available. He negotiated a better deal that week and our lives are back to normal in under a month after hiring him. His staff are very professional and Bill is very good at doing exactly what is best for His client. I wish i would have hired his firm from the beginning for My wife and I but, however, we are glad we did before it was too late.
