Thorough & Prepared

I retained Mr. Kaylor to challenge a traffic citation for speeding in a school zone. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I was, admittedly, speeding and in a school zone. But I couldn't afford the points on my license, so I asked only that he do what he could. At the hearing, Mr. Kaylor provided the ...Judge with a detailed presentation containing diagrams, demonstrative aids and citations to the some uniform system of traffic control devices. As it turns out, the school's warning signs were not in compliance with state law!! The Judge declined to enforce the "double fine" for the school zone, and withheld adjudication on the ticket. As a result, my fines were cut in half, and I didn't receive any points!! Who knew the location and size of road signs had anything to do with due process?!?! Thanks Mr. Kaylor. Then, after the hearing, although he certainly had no obligation to so do, he met with the Deputy Sheriff on my case and offered to share his research and suggested the manner in which the school could bring their signs into compliance. Although my interactions with him was fairly limited, I got the impression that Matthew is an all around great guy and well respected at the Courthouse.

Mr. Kaylor represented my son on a serious computer sex crime. The case dragged on for a long time and we had to go to court several times but Mr. Kaylor kept us informed every step of the way. I could tell that he knew everyone in the courtroom and felt comfortable in front of the judge. Ultimate...ly, he got the prosecutor to offer my son something so good he just couldn't refuse. Mr. Kaylor fought for my son and I will always be indebted to him for the work that he did while not charging us too much money.

We HIGHLY recommend Mr. K. Kaylor: We are grateful for him!

Our son was charged with domestic assault and other charges involving his ex-girlfriend. nerve and upset, I called a lawyer in the Polk County area referred to me by a hillsborough lawyer, but to my dismay I was not happy with the results. He made me feel more like dollars signs than a parent tryi...ng to seek legal advice for her son. I explain my son's charges to the lawyer. I was giving a hefty price over the phone without asking to make an appointment for a consultation . While attending my son's court hearing, I saw a friend who works in the Polk County Courthouse with her help. She referred me to Mr. Matthew Kaylor. Mr. Kaylor made me feel at ease during my consultation, explaining my son's charges to me, the process, his rates, and overall he's was very knowledgeable, professional, responsive in returning calls, kept me informed with my son's case, very honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend him......I'm very appreciative of him and his law firm..

"I endorse this lawyer. Matthew is an excellent defense attorney. He was opposing counsel in many of my criminal cases during my days as a prosecutor. He always knew his cases well, and he always found good defenses for his clients. Anyone that makes the good decision of hiring Matthew for their crimin cases should rest assured that they will be taken care."
