I began my career as a third grade teacher, took time off to start a family, and entered law school at the age of 38. After graduating from one of the top 100 tier
law schools, Georgia State University College of Law, I practiced in a large consumer practice until I was approached by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to join the Legal Division of the Atlanta District Office. I worked with lenders, borrowers, the Dept. of Justice, and other lawyers for 7 years, primarily in the bankruptcy arena. I was appointed as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney while employed by the SBA.
In 1999 I had an opportunity to try real estate and condo management and live on the ocean at beautiful Manasota Key, Florida. I then sat for the Florida Bar, getting my license to practice in Florida in May, 2002. I opened a solo practice, primarily in the area of Consumer Bankruptcy and Estate Planning.
When I am not working with clients, I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my four grandchildren.
