J. Brent Barnaky

After mistakingly hiring another attorney first, I hired Brent Barnaky 2/3rd of the way through my current divorce proceedings. Brent was eager to speed the process along and get the stalled negotiations back on track. He was quick to respond to emails/phone calls and very helpful with thoughtful... and creative advice. With Brent on board, my case that seemed destined for trial was successfully mediated and resolved in less than a month. In addition, his hourly billing rate is fair and is office staff is helpful and supportive. I cannot recommend Brent Barnaky and Park, Ossian, Barnaky & Park PA highly enough. He didn't return phone calls and would linger for weeks at a time. When he got angry he would throw papers and manipulate the facts in order to settle rather than deal with the details at hand. Several times in conversation he viered away from the statutes and made up his own analogy. When in confere...nce with the Judge he was very vague and not prepared to even answer general questions. He handles himself in a immature manner and is not reliable in his clients defense. He befriends the opposing side to avoid the trouble of prepping for trial. He billed for phone calls that never occured. He shows more anger towards clients than in the court room where it belongs. He talks over clients and is very rude in his approach. He left important issues out of the settlement and would not return phone calls, had me meet with his assitant to sign off. I am in position where I have to start over. When he gets tired of the case he threatens to resign. You are better off representing yourself!
