Biography
Kit Van Pelt focuses her practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration. Kit is a past president of the Pinellas County Estate Planning Council and a past president of the Clearwater Bar Foundation. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Clearwater Bar and has several times been the chair of the Probate Section for the Clearwater Bar.
Kit is an active member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar (“RPPTL”). For RPPTL, she serves as a member of the Executive Council, serves on multiple subcommittees, including the At Large Member committee, and is a co-chair of the RPPTL Legislative Update Seminar committee.
Kit also serves on the Florida Bar Probate Rules Committee and is a member of the Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Professionalism and a past chair of one of the 6th Circuit’s grievance committees. She is also a board member of the Pinellas Community Foundation and a past board member of the Humane Society of Pinellas.
Kit is routinely recognized by her peers as one of the Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars in Florida and has received several pro bono awards within the 6th Judicial Circuit and throughout Florida.
