Hans Peter Haahr brings decades of complex litigation experience — in both state and federal court — to every insurance dispute he handles. Before founding Haahr Law Group, he began his legal career in Miami at Mase & Gasenheimer, P.A., where he practiced maritime law and litigated complex civil matters including class action lawsuits and maritime disaster claims. He later joined the Tampa office of Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. as a Senior Litigation Associate, handling a wide variety of complex commercial and personal injury cases across Florida’s state and federal courts.

Today, Hans focuses his practice exclusively on property insurance disputes and bad faith claims against insurers — bringing that deep litigation background directly to bear on behalf of policyholders who have been denied, delayed, or underpaid. He also serves as a neutral mediator and arbitrator, drawing on the same courtroom experience to help parties resolve disputes efficiently outside the courtroom.
Born and raised in Denmark, Hans moved to the United States to attend the University of South Alabama, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. He speaks English, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian.
