Mrs. S.N. was placed in removal proceedings when USCIS denied the joint I-751 petition she had filed with her US citizen husband. SN hired Mr. Rios, who filed a new I-751, which was approved, promptin ... g Mr. Rios to file a motion to terminate removal proceedings with the Immigration Judge. The Judge granted Mr. Rios' motion, and SN's deportation case was closed without ever having to have a trial. SN is living happily in the United States with her husband.

Mrs. TP has been a Permanent Resident since 1983. In 1985 and 1987 she committed petty theft, and was convicted of both charges. No other problems since then. In 2010, she filed for her citizenship, ... and USCIS placed her in removal proceedings because of the 20+ year old conviction. TP hired Mr. Rios, who then filed motions to vacate both convictions with the criminal court. The criminal court Judge vacated both convictions, based on Mr. Rios' motion. Mr Rios then filed a motion to terminate the deportation case with the Immigration Judge, the Judge granted the motion, and the deportation case was closed without TP ever having to go to trial. Mrs. T.P. Is happily in the United States with her family.

OUTCOME: Immigration Judge GRANTED permanent residence, the client was NOT deported.

Mr. MB was married to a U.S. citizen, they had a son, but the marriage had problems, and they divorced. MB susequently filed his I-751 waiver petition, to remove the conditions on his lawful residence ... . The USCIS denied the petition, and placed MB in deportation proceedings. MB hired Mr. Rios, who took the case to trial. After the testimony, ICE Counsel did not oppose the case, and the Immigration Judge granted MB's lawful permanent residence. MB is becoming a U.S. citizen, and is living happily in the United States, and sees his son constantly.

OUTCOME: Client NOT deported, I-601 waiver GRANTED, client returned as a lawful permanent resident.

Mrs. EB came to the United States on a K-1 (fiancee) visa, and married the U.S. citizen who briught her here. He also abused her repeatedly, which led to divorce. EB subsequently met a truly fabulous ... gentleman, also a U.S. citizen, and they married. But, because EB entered with a K-1, she could not adjust status (get her "green card") through her new husband, as he did not file the K-1 for her. Nor could EB adjust as a battered spouse, again, because of the K-1 issue. EB was placed in deportation (removal) proceedings. Mr. Rios was able to obtain voluntary departure on her behalf, and then filed a waiver with the embassy abroad. The waiver was approved, EB was able to return to the United States as a lawful permanent resident, and is living happily in the United States.

Mrs. MF was engaged to a U.S. citizen in Florida when she was detained by ICE and taken into custody. Her fiance hired Mr. Rios, who immediately obtained a bond hearing wherein the Immigration Judge g ... ranted bond and released MF. MF married her fiance, and Mr. Rios filed an I-130 (family) petition, which the USCIS approved even though MF had married while she was already in deportation proceedings. During her deportation trial at the Orlando Immigration Court, Mr. Rios moved the Court to terminate MF's deportation case, which the Immigration Judge granted and did. MF is living happily with her husband in the United States.

Mr. JM was deported from the United States. He is married to a U.S. citizen, who had filed an I-130 (family) petition for JM, but was having problems with the case. She hired Mr. Rios, who took over ... the case, filed an I-601 waiver for JM at the embassy, the waiver was granted, and JM returned to the United States as a lawful permanent resident. He is living happily with his wife in the United States.
