Kimberly Houndji

Kim is a Florida native from Gainesville. She founded the Temple Terrace Law Group in March 2020 with a business partner. She is starting her own practice, ‘Houndji Law,’ in 2026 in the natural progression of her career. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of West Florida in Pensacola and her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Tampa campus) in August 2018. Her passion for law started very early on when her cousin became an attorney; this inspired her to become one as well to advocate for and help others in her community. She has previously worked at Farrar Law Firm and Meditation Group in Pensacola and clerked at the Lansky Law Group in Brandon.

During Kim’s time in law school, she demonstrated strong leadership and academic achievement. She served as the Valedictory Speaker for the Levi Woodbury class, Chief Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta Janet Reno Chapter, and was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta. She also participated in the Florida Association for Women Lawyers from 2016 to 2018, served as Treasurer for the Hispanic Organization of Legal Advocates for one year, and held a leadership role as a Student Bar Association Swayne Class Senator. These experiences helped shape the advocacy, professionalism, and client-centered approach she brings to her practice today in St. Petersburg and throughout the Tampa Bay area.

In St. Petersburg, Kim is actively involved in her community and professional organizations. She is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar, and she volunteers with the Sixth Judicial Circuit as a Guardian Ad Litem, advocating for the best interests of children in the legal system. Outside of her legal work, Kim enjoys spending time with her family on the weekends, participating in activities together and tending to her backyard chickens. She currently has a flock of 15 hens, each with its own personality. Kim is passionate about encouraging others to pursue their goals and believes strongly in empowering people to follow their passions and dreams in life.

In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, relaxing at the beautiful beaches throughout the Tampa Bay area, and traveling abroad. Her hobbies include gardening, arts and crafts, ceramics, reading, shopping, playing and watching sports, and going on walks. She especially enjoys activities that allow her to unwind and connect with nature. Her favorite color is green, reflecting her love of the outdoors and being surrounded by natural environments.

Kim is licensed Florida attorney admitted to practice since January 1, 2020.
