Biography
Heather Cherepkai was born and raised in Indiana. She attended Indiana State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. She then went on to attend Ohio Northern University Petit School of Law and earned her Juris Doctor. During her time at Ohio Northern, she interned with the Allen County Public Defender’s Office, and was a law clerk for Kluge, Santo, & Pitts.
In 2004, Heather was admitted to the Florida Bar where she began practicing as an Assistant Public Defender for the 18th Judicial Circuit, representing indigent clients. In 2006, she began working as a Senior Attorney with Children’s Legal Services, representing the Department of Children and Families in dependency cases.
In 2012, Heather joined The Ticktin Law Group where she expanded on her litigation skills as a trial attorney. She practiced primarily in the areas of mortgage foreclosure defense, family law, personal injury, and business law. She has now brought that experience and skill to Carpenter Gandhi, PLLC as an Associate Attorney.

Lack of communication
I retained and utilized Heather for my divorce back in 2019 and had very few issues with getting things done. Some minor communication issues (ie: no response to emails or calls) occasionally.
