Ms. Reyes has written on legal topics relating to federal legislation such as ERISA and legislation impacting Puerto Rico's fiscal crisis such as PROMESA. While in law school, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) Journal and as the president of the International Law Society. She has been invited to speak at high schools and colleges composed of mainly immigrant students to discuss their rights under DACA and the U.S. Constitution.
She earned her J.D. at Hofstra Law in New York, with a Certificate in International Law, and her B.A. from the University of South Florida in Economics, with a Certificate in Latin American & Caribbean Studies.
She is a member of the Florida Bar and a licensed attorney in Florida and Puerto Rico in state and federal courts.
