Thor Hartwig is a men's divorce attorney that has dedicated his practice exclusively to divorce and family law in Tampa Bay. Having gone through a divorce in Hillsborough County, he understands first-hand the emotional and economic hardships that a man faces when going through a dissolution.

Attorney Hartwig handles the establishment of child custody in both paternity and dissolution proceedings, as well as modifications of child custody orders.

Custody/timesharing can come from a divorce, or through establishing legal paternity when a child is born out of wedlock. I also help modify existing custody orders to help men be more involved with their kids' lives.

I represent men in establishing child support, as well as modifying the amount based on substantial changes in circumstance. I also deal with issues pertaining to Department of Revenue actions.

Although I deal with most aspects of family law, my main focus is representing men in divorce. I have gone through a divorce in Hillsborough County myself and can relate to the challenges men face.

Modification of parental plan

Mr.Thor Hartwig was able to put our family back together. Reunite a father with his children. He negotiated a great deal with a totally rigid, unyielding ex wife. He modified the visitation on a parental plan that she put into effect by default during a time of crisis. Having a diagnosis of bi-pola...r he looked past the stigma/label society places on you. He was able to look at the evidence, the situation and draw reasonable logical conclusions based on my individual situation. He was an incredible help for a situation that had gone on for way to long. He was professional, knowledgeable, confident & realistic about what was obtainable. Hired the night before;granted 50/50 custody

I hired Thor THE NIGHT BEFORE my custody hearing. We talked for a bit and he told me he would take my case and for a reasonable amount. Thor did an outstanding job in such little time. After not seeing my three kids for about 8 months, due to their mom keeping them away, I was granted 50/50 custody a...nd I will see my kids tomorrow for the first time in 8 months! I'm very grateful and thankful to have found Thor when I did and I would definitely recommend him to any father fighting for his children!
