Daniel Maharaj

Daniel Maharaj is a Partner at Solomon, Maharaj & Kasimati, P.A. He is an  attorney licensed to practice in Washington, D.C., and specializes in federal employment law, federal labor law, Veteran’s law, Military law, and federal administrative law. Prior to establishing Solomon, Maharaj & Kasimati, P.A., Daniel was the Managing Attorney at Whistleblower Law Firm for five years and earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, graduating with a Certificate of Concentration in Environmental Law.

Daniel previously clerked with the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, Office of General Counsel, Southeast Regional Office in St. Petersburg, Florida, and the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel for the Second District Court of Appeal in Bradenton, Florida. In addition, he has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of South Florida

Daniel he has handled a substantial number of cases involving the Whistleblower Protection Act (WPEA), matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP), Office of Special Counsel (OSC) complaints, Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) appeals, Office of Inspector General (OIG) complaints, Federal Tort Claims Act complaints, and Veteran Benefits, as well as Military law cases. 

A substantial amount of his practice has been devoted to litigation with the EEOC and MSPB, with a concentration in federal labor law and military/veterans law. He has also assisted in representing federal sector unions and employees in various industries, trades, and professions; including bringing forth complaints of discrimination and appeals of other adverse employment actions.
