Spelled my name wrong for my name restoration

Not only did the attorney (Mr Law) spell my name wrong on my divorce paperwork twice, but he did it on the only line of the paperwork that mattered, the name change line. On the paperwork to have my maiden name restored he misspelled my FIRST NAME, not the last name I was changing, my first name. He ...never sent me paperwork to review before submitting it and everything was done via telephone due to covid. After bringing it to the their attention to have it fixed they sent it in to the judge wrong AGAIN, I’m sorry, but how does an attorney that charges for this service spell his clients name wrong on a legal name change? Spelling is education 101 for just about any field. No apology or anything just resubmitted the paperwork until he eventually got it right on his third try. I wish I would have spent the extra $100 on an attorney that can spell to avoid this headache.

My nightmare

Hired attorney for a family matter and he did not show to court, instead mhe had another attorney represent me on the phone which is not what I paid him for. Anyone needing representation should seek the services of an attorney who has his best interest in your case, not your money.

Does not Return Calls and a Waste of Money

I hired Mr. Law to represent me in my divorce case. At first, response was great, mediation went well, and after mediation, it was impossible to contact him. I was not contesting any of the terms presented when my ex filed for divorce, and it was a very simple divorce. The only disputed item was... the amount of child support that I should have to pay. My ex filed a motion for temporary emergency child support, and him and I agreed on a number where I would sign uncontested, as well as a couple of terms. This was with the knowledge that my ex falsified her financial affidavit, and he stated that the judge would be made aware, and my child support order would not reflect her falsified financial affidavit. He settled on my behalf for way more than I was willing to pay, and did not get my terms addressed. I asked what happened, and there was no answer, other than "just sign this." I was still waiting for the final hearing, and in the span of four months, I called four times and emailed six times, and never received a reply. Then I get an email stating that I owed his firm an additional balance. I terminated his services immediately. His rates are much cheaper than anyone else, however, you get exactly what you pay for. It cost me way more in the long run, than if I would have hired a competent attorney in the first place, instead of hiring a half-price attorney. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I would not recommend using Josh Law

Josh Law failed to do what he said he would do for me. During our consultation I explained that my daughters & I are domestic violence survivors that I had 2 lawyers already that had told me they could help me & all they did was take my money. He did the same thing. He showed up late to our hearin...g, he was unprepared and unprofessional he sat through the hearing chewing on his pen cap. He rarely returned phone calls or emails. When I called his office, he was always unavailable. If he wasn't able to help me, he should never have agreeded to take my case.
