Unresponsive, Waste of Money and Time

I paid $250 for a consultation with Bryant Dunivan on October 14th. During the call, he told me I had grounds to continue fighting parts of my case and that the next step would be for me to retain him so he could take over. I texted him on October 17th to tell him when I would have the funds to re...tain him. His replies were vague and he never sent an engagement letter, never sent a payment link, and never followed up in any way. Nearly a month later, when new issues came up with my prior landlord, I reached out again for guidance and got no response. Because he became unresponsive, I asked for a refund of the consultation fee. He declined, even though there was no follow-through and no ability to move forward with representation. My experience was that I paid for a consultation with no meaningful follow-up, no communication, and no way to proceed despite being told I had grounds to continue my case. I would not recommend based on my experience.

Excellent

I hired Mr. Dunivan to represent me in a real estate contract issue. The case was settled within a week! He was quick to return all phone calls and emails. He is very honest and his fees were very fair. I highly recommend Mr. Dunivan.

Attorney

I hired Bryant Dunivan and after paying him $110.00 to tell him my legal problems, he told me that I had a good chance for a good outcome. I then gave him a retainer fee to start the case; but after he took my money he became unavailable and I could only talk to his legal secretary and would not retu...rn my calls or emails until the day before the hearing....I lost the case and my money. This attorney hides behind his legal secretary because he knows that he can't stand up to his commitments on your case. BE CAREFUL

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
