I had a very disappointing experience with Harrington Consumer Law, LLC in Tampa, FL. I hired Mr. Harrington to assist with a dispute involving a mechanic shop. Before retaining him, I asked about his online reviews and did not receive clear answers. I made it clear that I wanted honest communication... and, if he could not help, we could part ways amicably. After paying, I called and emailed multiple times over the course of more than a month with no meaningful response. My emails were opened but never answered, and my calls were routed to an answering service that did not resolve my concerns. Eventually, I disputed the charge through PayPal and was able to recover my payment. I also noticed that the listed business address is a residential home, which raised additional concerns for me. I genuinely gave him the opportunity to assist me, but unfortunately, the lack of communication and follow-through left me very dissatisfied.

I hired Mr. Harrington to fight a case for me in November involving a car dealer who I bought a car from remotely. The car arrived in a condition with so many undisclosed problems, it had to be scrapped for parts. He agreed to fight my case which involved submitting all of my documents against the de...alers bond in FL. He said it would take about 60 days. He was fairly responsive at first telling me he had submitted the documents but after the 60 days had passed, he refused to pick up the phone or answer any emails from me. I've tried dozens of phone calls and emails over the last 5 months with no response. I will be filing a complaint with the Florida bar.

I hired this attorney in July 2024 and paid the fee for representing me against a car dealership and have only received a couple of responses from him even after my numerous calls and emails. He has done nothing for me on my case to date and will not communicate back. Find someone else... do not us...e him. I am going to file a formal complaint with the Florida Bar.

All communications and consults are held via email. When he decided that this would be a case he would represent he presented a confusing fee structure. I asked him to please give me a call to clarify his fee structure before moving forward and have a small talk about the case, he ignored it. I propo...sed a contingent fee structure to protect my interest and incentivize his efforts if he were to get us what we wanted. Apparently that pissed him off. He made it clear he wanted his fees upfront, which would have been fine if the conversation was done via phone and had he introduced himself and clarified his fee structure. I also asked him to give me timeline and a communication cadence because I wanted to know how often he and or his office was going to keep me updated with the case. Again I got silence. All of which are red flags and a clear Indication that this was not a professional relationship I wanted to establish. There are thousands of attorneys and the schools are printing more of them each year, run away from this guy and find a good one that demonstrates he or she really cares about you as a client.

I had called Mr. Harrington after seeing his Bio on the internet under Consumer protection Lawyers. I then received a phone call back from Mr. Harrington, asking for all my detailed case information as he would research my legal matter involving a case I had filed with the Collier County Court again...st a dealership in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Harrington explained he would call me back after his review and to this day, I have left multiple phone messages with his office, multiple emails and NOT one response from Mr. Harrington or his office! I asked his office why he was not taking my calls or answering my emails and they seemed very afraid to tell me and just said he has, "strict orders to only leave a voicemail and they cannot speak to him about it". This is so extremely rude and unprofessional and I feel betrayed as I trusted him enough to give him all my personal information and he lied to me! Please do not attempt to exchange any money with this individual, or for lack of a better word, "thief"....he has no business being an attorney!
