Biography
Bill Schifino has extensive experience litigating and arbitrating complex business disputes before Federal and State courts, the National Association of Securities Dealers and the New York Stock Exchange. He concentrates his practice in securities, professional malpractice, intellectual property, employment and business tort litigation. Mr. Schifino has represented both plaintiffs and defendants through trial in the above areas. He is certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in business litigation. Bill is presently the managing shareholder of Williams Schifino Mangione & Steady, P.A. He is a past president of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and is currently the Chairman of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. He also represents the lawyers in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit as their representative on the Florida Bar Board of Governors. Bill has appeared in Florida Trend Magazine as one of Florida’s Legal Elite for the past five years as having been chosen among the top 1.7% attorneys named by his peers, selected as one of Forida’s Super Lawyers since 2006, and voted by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America. Bill is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. He is a graduate of Tulane University, and the University of Florida Law School. In 2015, Bill was elected President-Elect of the Florida Bar and will serve as President of the Bar starting in 2016.
