Robert Sparks obtained the largest jury verdict in a pedestrian injury case in Hillsborough County history – an award of $30 million for his client who suffered permanent and debilitating brain damage after she was hit by a vehicle while walking on the side of the road. The case began with an opening offer of merely $3,500 by the plaintiff, and progressed into the complex investigation of a hit and run incident that was never pursued by the police department. Mr. Sparks’ litigation included acquiring GPS data from the vehicle involved to prove the driver’s fault and disregard for liability at the scene of the incident, and the search for the vehicle’s driver who had moved out of state, in order to obtain witness testimony to fact that the liable company had covered up any involvement in the incident.
Lead trial attorney for the personal injury division, Mr. Sparks has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of his clients for cases involving wrongful death, negligence, medical malpractice, truck and auto accidents, and more. In response to his successful litigation practices, Mr. Sparks is recognized among the top 1% of attorneys in the country by the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and is included on the lists of Super Lawyers, The National Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers, The National Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators, Expertise’s Best Personal Injury Lawyers in Tampa, and Lawyers of Distinction.

His paralegal states that this firm does NOT accept Personal Injury or medical negligence cases. A mutual colleague highly recommended him. She's adamant this firm only handles Family Law. Big disappointment because the other reviews are good. He should remove that section of his website.

Bad Advice
Robert Sparks is a sorry excuse for an attorney. He was fired immediately after our first hearing. At this hearing he cost me lots of precious time with my child due to his lack of concern for the importance of the custody case I entrusted him with. His response was always late and in confirmed cases...

The jury determined that Cox’s negligence, for which Gerelco was admittedly responsible, was the legal cause of Ming’s injuries, and that those injuries were permanent. The jury also found that Ming’s damages totaled $30,185,488.89.
