My cases have included divorce, child custody and relocation, child support, alimony, etc...domestic violence, extended family custody, prenuptial agreements, division of family businesses etc... I work with my client in developing a strategy to motivate his/her spouse to settle out of court. If negotiations fail, we aggressively prepare for trial. Communication between myself, my staff and the client is the key. We settle 90% of cases. I also am a family law mediator.

Excellent Divorce Lawyer

With over 30+ years of experience in family law, choosing Marina Taylor was a no brainer. She made my case effortless and reasonably quick - just over 7 months to come to an agreement that I could not complain about. I would highly recommend Marina to anyone going through a divorce!

Excellent Attorney

Attorney Marina Taylor is by far the best family law attorney. She cares about her clients. She is up to speed on family law and Florida statutes to back her cases in court. She has been on my case and I know for one she works on my case all hours. She returns calls very promptly. She's there to... answer questions. Family law cases can cause one a lot of stress and anxiety but knowing Marina is there and taking care of things as quickly as possible has been a huge relief. She is so detail-oriented and does everything to familiarize and arm herself with all the facts of the case. I would recommend her hands down.

Excellent!

Marina, Handled my divorce case. She did it fast and got exactly what I wanted. She hears you out and gets to know you. She isn't there to snag all your money from your bank account. Her response to email's and phone calls were answered quickly. Great lawyer. Recommend her to anyone.

Current Case- Divorce

I am an elderly person who desperately needed to find a good lawyer that I would feel that I could trust to handle my case. I was referred to Marina Taylor by someone who already had a very positive experience with her as their attorney in a child custodial case. I was told she was someone that wa...s an expert in Family and Divorce cases and also that Marina was excellent in litigation and negotiations. Well she has proved to be excellent, very sharp and pays close attention to details. She also has this humane side to her that is rarely experienced with most lawyers....I feel comfortable with her and I know I am in good hands. I imagine her fine character derives from when she was a Nurse for many years before practicing law. I would recommend her in a minute.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2008.

Probation issued in FL, 2008

updated on 06/26/2012

Probation means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Marina’s comment:

“I had a client who paid me $1500.00 on a credit card to negotiate a predivorce settlement with his Wife and her attorney so she would not file for divorce. I was nice to his Wife and was successful. He tried to get his money back and told the cc company that I was too nice to his Wife. I told cc company he had been verbally abusive to his Wife. The Bar said this was a breach of client of confidentiality to cc company. I was cited w/ minor misconduct.”
