My cases have included divorce, child custody and relocation, child support, alimony, etc...domestic violence, extended family custody, prenuptial agreements, division of family businesses etc... I work with my client in developing a strategy to motivate his/her spouse to settle out of court. If negotiations fail, we aggressively prepare for trial. Communication between myself, my staff and the client is the key. We settle 90% of cases. I also am a family law mediator.

Fierce advocate for your case

Being a Military family we moved around alot from place to place - Tampa being the place we divorced . I found Marina to be extremely professional and compassionate when It came to my ugly divorce with two young children and she has fought hard for our family and continues to do so. I put my faith an...d trust in her hands any day. She gets things done and listens to you. I have had to re-hire her multiple times to fight back my ex who just can't let the divorce and custody issues be. She has protected us from bully lawyers who paint negative images. She truly is amazing to have your back. hired in 2014, 2019, 2022 will continue to utilize Marina for any and all court family issues. She is family first!

Excellent Attorney

Attorney Marina Taylor is by far the best family law attorney. She cares about her clients. She is up to speed on family law and Florida statutes to back her cases in court. She has been on my case and I know for one she works on my case all hours. She returns calls very promptly. She's there to... answer questions. Family law cases can cause one a lot of stress and anxiety but knowing Marina is there and taking care of things as quickly as possible has been a huge relief. She is so detail-oriented and does everything to familiarize and arm herself with all the facts of the case. I would recommend her hands down.

Excellent!

Marina, Handled my divorce case. She did it fast and got exactly what I wanted. She hears you out and gets to know you. She isn't there to snag all your money from your bank account. Her response to email's and phone calls were answered quickly. Great lawyer. Recommend her to anyone.

Worst Experience Ever

I hired Ms. Taylor to handle my divorce. It was a terrible mistake. The consultation went really well but after that, it was extremely hard to contact her. She responded late to the petition and the divorce was final for almost two weeks before I found out. I actually heard from a family member that... my divorce was final because my ex husband had mentioned it in a casual conversation . I had not been notified and had to call the office and wait for a return call before I finally got the paperwork. Please seek good counsel. The divorce process is already hard enough she made it even more stressful. She didn't look put for my best interest at all. She was unprepared, never on the office and never returned calls. She would ask you to text her but even then you were lucky if you get a response. Once the fees are paid, the only call you will get is if there is an additional cost. This was my first time seeking legal counsel and it was a horrible experience!!!

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2008.

Probation issued in FL, 2008

updated on 06/26/2012

Probation means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Marina’s comment:

“I had a client who paid me $1500.00 on a credit card to negotiate a predivorce settlement with his Wife and her attorney so she would not file for divorce. I was nice to his Wife and was successful. He tried to get his money back and told the cc company that I was too nice to his Wife. I told cc company he had been verbally abusive to his Wife. The Bar said this was a breach of client of confidentiality to cc company. I was cited w/ minor misconduct.”
