I work in a professional field with an agency in South Florida that supports families involved in the court system. I recently called this attorney to introduce myself and see how we could collaborate in support of a shared client. I was polite and professional, but the attorney was immediately dismi...ssive and rude, stating that he didn’t have to help me. When I respectfully asked him to be courteous, he hung up on me. There’s no excuse for that kind of behavior—especially in a field that requires collaboration and respect when working with vulnerable families.
