Steven Mark Katzman

Steve moved to Florida when he was four years old. After 60 years, he considers himself a native. Loyalty and commitment are very important to him, as evidenced by his decision to co-found the firm with his best friend since high school, Jay Wasserman. Steve has been married to his wife, Sharon, since 1986, and has two sons, Adam and Jason.

The other lawyers in the Firm have each practiced law with Steve for many years, as have many members of the Firm’s staff. This level of loyalty and personal commitment is the foundation upon which Steve practices law and defines his dedication to each client and their case.

Mr. Katzman has extensive trial and arbitration experience, including more than 100 jury trials, most of which involved millions of dollars and in one case $500 million. He also has tried numerous bench trials, including bet the company litigation where the value of the claims exceeded $100 million dollars. While most cases do settle, typically on confidential terms, Mr. Katzman’s reputation, experience, and results obtained have resulted in him being recognized as a preeminent “go-to” lawyer for complex commercial disputes and plaintiff legal malpractice claims.
