I was a client of Yesenia's before she opened her own firm and chose to continue working with her. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Important provisions regarding my child's medical expenses were omitted from my divorce agreement that are required by law to be included. Despi...te my raising the issue months before the final hearing she made no plan to address the issue. The judgment has now been finalized, leaving me to deal with the consequences of an issue I expected my attorney to address and the continued abuse from my ex who finds it funny my attorney did not do her job. In my opinion the issue began at mediation, where she appeared unprepared, had not discussed a strategy with me beforehand, did not know my son's name, and was ordering food on the phone with her boyfriend while still in the room. Rather than taking responsibility for the omissions as she was my legal representative, she blamed the mediator and then blamed me. Communication was consistently poor, with weeks passing without responses to requests for updates. I also raised concerns about duplicate and excessive billing over two months ago, but received no response despite being charged for the email. I expected competent legal representation, professionalism, communication, and accountability. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations.
