Nanette Nicole Gamot

A native of Palm Beach County, Nicole specializes in marital and family law, as well as wills and trusts.

Upon graduating with honors from Florida State University College of Law, and being admitted to the Florida Bar, both in 1988, Nicole joined the Law Firm of McKeown & Gamot, in Palm Beach.  A well respected firm co-founded by her father, Albert. In 1999, the Gamot Law Firm was established creating a family firm built on strong values to vigorously represent a diverse client base in a variety of multifaceted legal matters.

Nicole has been recognized by lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Nicole has completed training in Collaborative Divorce, the newest method of alternative dispute resolution in family law.  Collaborative divorce is a method in which the lawyers for both sides agree to assist the clients in resolving conflicts through cooperative techniques rather than adversarial strategies and litigation. All of the people involved commit themselves to achieving a negotiated outcome. It is agreed that no litigation will be commenced during the negotiations.

In full-time practice for 27 years and a founding member of the Gamot Law Firm, Nicole has successfully resolved cases involving complex divorce, modifications, relocations, parenting matters, child support, and post-dissolution issues, such as contempt.  Many of Nicole’s cases have involved mental health, substance abuse, and domestic violence and she knows how to deal with these important issues as they relate to the family and family law.  Additionally, Nicole is well acquainted with the workings of the Florida Retirement System and other municipal retirement plans.  

Nicole understands divorce is one of the most difficult experiences a family can face, and is committed to making this process as painless as possible. Nicole understands the importance of co-parenting, and takes pride in being friendly and reasonable while protecting your rights and looking out for the best interests of you and your children.
