Biography
Adelina Ruiz Baez is the founder of the Law Offices of Adelina Ruiz, P.A., where she helps Florida families, individuals, and small business owners protect what they have built and pass it on without confusion or conflict. Her practice concentrates on estate planning and probate, with related work in elder law and business planning.
Born in the Dominican Republic and fluent in Spanish, Adelina earned her B.A. summa cum laude in Political Science and Philosophy from Herbert H. Lehman College, CUNY, in 2004, and her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2007. She began her career as a staff attorney with Florida’s Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, assisting judges across civil, criminal, family, administrative, and appellate matters, a vantage point that showed her, early and repeatedly, how families come apart when nothing was planned in advance.
She went on to practice corporate law, business law, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation before opening her own firm in 2013. Over time the practice found its center in estate planning and probate, the work she considers the most personal a lawyer can do. In 2024, Adelina relocated to Orlando and opened a branch office in the Baldwin Park area, extending the firm’s reach across Central Florida while continuing to serve clients from its Palm Beach Gardens office.
Serving Spanish-speaking clients remains central to the practice. For many of the families she works with, this is the first generation with assets worth planning around, and being able to explain a revocable trust or a probate timeline in a client’s own language is often the difference between a plan someone signs and a plan someone actually understands.
