When I thought that I was doing the right thing by trusting my son’s mother on doing the custody agreement voluntarily, she went behind my back and filed a lawsuit against me. A lawsuit that has lies all over it (I was going to kidnap my son, etc.). As an honest person and not knowing the custody agr...eement process, I felt lost and scared. During this awful time and not knowing where to go, I was referred to Jon Wald. I met with Jon and he calmed me down. I went over everything with him. He answered all my questions, explained how the process was, and the things I could or could not do. I felt relieve after I got out of his office that day. I saw his confidence in his eyes. When the mediation process got going, Jon Wald went to work. I was being informed in every step of the way by Jon or his staff. Jon was a magician during my mediations. He always has a strategy (plan A, B, and C). He went the extra mile to get what I wanted. It did not matter what the mediator or the opposing lawyer tried to shut my suggestions down. Jon presented clearly and justify the need of writing things certain way in my custody agreement. Thanks to that effort I have been worry free and my son’s mother can’t take advantage because it is specified in the agreement. Jon does not waste time when the other lawyer brings lies and/or bring things that are not related to the case. When these lies were brought up, Jon shut the other party within seconds. In fact, Jon schooled the other lawyer by referencing a law using the law book during my mediation. The other lawyer did not have any choice but to shut up. After my last mediation was done and the custody agreement was signed by the judge, the Wald office checked with me by asking how things were a few months later. That tells me that the Wald’s office care about their clients. They even recognize me in public and asked me how are things. I truly believe that Jon took my case personally and went above and beyond. I’m pleased with the outcome of my case. We won by far. I won’t hesitate to go back to Jon Wald to fight for the remaining item which is the address that will be used for my son’s school.

After consulting with a few different attorneys, I decided family law attorney Jonathan Wald was the right fit for my pending divorce and custody case. From the beginning Jonathan Wald impressed me with his no-nonsense attitude and determination. I just read the review of someone saying Jonathon and his staff did not answer calls. I can tell you that was absolutely NOT my case. Jonathon and his staff were very professional and always seemed to go the extra mile. All my calls/emails were answered ASAP, usually the very same day or by the next ...day at the very least. I always knew what was going on with my case. And NEVER did I feel Jonathon was just trying to get money, just the opposite I always felt he was doing his very best for me and my family. I can not say enough wonderful things about Jonathon. I was very guarded, I had been thru the court process previously, but this time I quickly saw Jon was not going to take the "crap" administered by the other side. Mr. Wald is a blessing. My son was being kept from me, and Mr. Wald stopped that in its tracks. He fought hard every step of the way, keeping me informed thruout the entire process. Mr. Wald took the fear out of the divorce. I was confident in his abilities. He was open, honest, and friendly. Reall...y, a great guy. His staff is also very approachable, friendly, and courteous. I have already recommended him to a friend of mine. If you need an attorney, you will not be disappointed with Mr. Wald. If you are reading this you are probably in a difficult situation that you are trying to gain control over and are hoping that you make the right decision in selecting the attorney who will work with you to protect your child, you, and life as you know it. Rest assured, Jon Wald is that attorney. I... am just a regular guy who was blindsided by a spouse of many years who, backed by her multi-millionaire relative, engaged in a course of behavior aimed to permanently remove me from my child's life. From the very beginning when I hired him he was very responsive to rapidly changing events and to a series of actions designed to deny me of my paternal rights, my right to work in my profession, and, my very freedom. Jon advised me early on to avoid seemingly (at the time) innocuous situations that turned out to be traps set by the opposing party--Advice which today I am very grateful that I took to heart. In a short amount of time I went from not knowing where my daughter was to obtaining an order granting me equal timesharing and protecting my daughter's interests. When a third party known to me harassed and threatened me about the case in the middle of the night, Mr. Wald responded (at midnight on a Sunday) and the phone harassment ended. In fact, Mr. Wald has responded to every communication from me nearly immediately, sometimes in emergency situations after business hours. His actions and advice early in the case were instrumental to the positive outcome achieved. In the courtroom Mr. Wald was masterful in the way he was able to expose and challenge falsehoods and misrepresentations. I would describe his courtroom style as that of a cross between Perry Mason and the Tom Cruise character from "A Few Good Men". Furthermore, throughout the entire case, Mr. Wald was careful to manage my costs, which I am convinced turned out to be a fraction of what any other lawyer would have billed. Jon doesn't simply show up to work every day and "phone it in". He really "lived my case." taking the time to fully understand the entire situation and working tirelessly to achieve a solution. (In my case, a settlement that seemed all but impossible beforehand). I cannot fully describe the feelings I had outside the courtroom when I was reunited with my daughter. Sheryl, his Legal Administrator was also amazing, and worked tirelessly, even attending some of the hearings with Jon and being there to keep me focused and relaxed. and the same goes for Elizabeth the assistant who was very accurate and diligent. To whoever reads this, I pray and hope that your divorce is amicable and without complication, but know that you cannot predict the relentless attacks that the other side may have in store for you, nor can you predict the effect such a prolonged battle will have on your ability to function in your daily life, You need Jon Wald on your side to respond to these situations so that you can continue to live your life because if you can't function, you have lost the war.
