also known as Antonio Nieves
Freeman Injury Law attorney Antonio Nieves is passionate about being able to help people that really would have no other ways to be compensated for injuries that they suffered due to no fault of their own. “The feeling of having client tell you that you made an impact in their life and they will always be thankful is one that I cannot get enough of,” he says. Before he was even a licensed attorney, he was working in the personal injury field. He was a clerk out of law school with his previous firm, and once he passed the Bar exam in 2015, he started practicing with the litigation department.
Mr. Nieves spent much of his childhood in Venezuela before moving to Boca Raton in 2001. He completed his Bachelors in Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University, then attended law school at Nova Southeastern University. Because of his background, Mr. Nieves is completely fluent in both Spanish and English. He brings this skill to assist with Spanish-speaking clients who may want to speak to an attorney directly without having to use an interpreter.
Before he became an attorney, Mr. Nieves worked at Kaplan University as a student manager with the military department. There, he helped active duty military members, veterans and spouses, becoming very passionate about helping people. He attended law school and got involved in the personal injury field while in law school because it is one the fields that allows him to have a direct impact in client’s life and be able to help them through a difficult situation.
During his first year at Nova Southeastern University, Mr. Nieves started a clerkship at ERW Law, which specialized in real estate issues. After that, he switched to the personal injury field and started clerking for Kanner and Pintaluga during the second and third year of law school. There, he clerked for the litigation department at the firm. After graduating law school, he was offered a position as an attorney for the litigation department at Kanner and Pintaluga while preparing for the Florida bar. Mr. Nieves passed the bar on his first try and became a licensed attorney in September 2015.
When he is not at work, Mr. Nieves can be found at home doing work around the house with his wife or somewhere outdoors enjoying the natural riches of this beautiful state. He is passionate about his family, including spending time with his mother, who was a judge in Venezuela. His passions also include building a community that will be safe and positive for when he has children. Finally, he is passionate about being involved in the Hispanic community and using the skills he acquired in this profession to help as much as he can.
