On March 7, 2014, the Palm Beach County Bar Association re-named their Professionalism Award after Sid.  It is now the "Sidney A. Stubbs Professionalism Award."

Sid Stubbs has more than 40 years of experience in the areas of commercial and corporate litigation and law firm litigation.  Best Lawyers in America has listed Mr. Stubbs for over 20 years and he is not only included in their elite "Bet-the-Company Litigation" list, but he was also named West Palm Beach Best Lawyers "Bet-the-Company Litigator of the Year" in 2009 and 2010.  Chambers USA listed him among America's Leading Business Lawyers and said: "According to sources, Sidney Stubbs “remains the shining light and beacon of the Bar in Palm Beach County.”; He focuses on complex commercial and business litigation as well as legal malpractice disputes" and Boca Magazine called Mr. Stubbs "a lawyer’s lawyer" because much of his practice consists of the representation of other lawyers.  It's not surprising that he was on the cover of Florida Super Lawyers 2013 with the caption:  "Franchise Player - The quiet persuasiveness of business litigator Sid Stubbs."  Some of his other distinctions include being listed in Florida Trend's Florida Legal Elite "Hall of Fame;" as a "Distinguished Attorney" by the South Florida Legal Guide; “Top Point Getter” by Law & Politics Florida Super Lawyers Magazine; and by Law and Politics Corporate Counsel Super Lawyers.  Mr. Stubbs was awarded with the Palm Beach County Bar Association's Professionalism Award in 2005.  

Former Florida State Chair of the American College of Trial Lawyers, Mr. Stubbs is a Life Fellow in the American Bar Foundation, and has also served as a member of the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar and former President of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. He served as Special Counsel to the Honorable Bob Graham, Governor of Florida in 1983 and 1984.

In 2014, Mr. Stubbs received the Outstanding Public Service Award from The Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, recognizing his service as Chair of Palm Beach County Meals on Wheels, Senior Warden of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, former Chair of The Economic Council of Palm Beach County, former Chair of the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Commission, past President of the Gulfstream Council Boys Scouts of America, past President of the Kiwanis Club of West Palm Beach, and Trustee Emeritus of the University of Florida Law Center Association.
