Joseph C. Savino

I am a partner at Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid, P.C. and a member of its litigation practice group. For almost 30 years, I have been a commercial litigator representing, primarily, the banking and insurance industries. I have tried cases and conducted evidentiary hearings in both the federal and state court systems, and also briefed and argued numerous appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the First and Second Departments of the New York State Appellate Division.

Matters I have litigated range from multimillion dollar lending, corporate and bankruptcy disputes to mortgage foreclosure, insurance coverage, lender liability, libel and civil rights cases. I am admitted to practice in the States of New York, New Jersey and Florida and before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third and District of Columbia Circuits as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, District of Columbia and the Court of International Trade.

Prior to joining the firm, I was a member of Zavatsky, Mendelsohn, Gross, Savino & Levy, LLP. Previously, I was associated with the firms of Mendes & Mount, Philips Nizer Benjamin Krim & Ballon and Wickham Wickham & Bressler, and also served as law clerk to Hon. Edward D. Re, Chief Judge of the United States Court of International Trade from June 1983 to June 1985.
