James Nelson Brown

I first met James Brown when I was buying a property from one of his clients. I was so impressed that day, I knew I would be using his services in the future. I am a real estate investor with over 140 units, office buildings, and mobile home parks. He has done many closings for me, advised me... on doing 1031 exchanges, and has great business acumen. He takes the time to read every line of a contract himself and his attention to detail is impressive. On top of that, he has a top notch staff that responds immediately to my calls and emails. They have put together contracts for me, and handled everything from A to Z.......all at a very affordable price. He was even able to close a very important deal I had in only 9 days. My wife says he is the equivalent of a home town doctor who makes house calls. He has expertise, experience, and genuinely cares about the success of my endeavors. I highly recommend his services.

I was in need of a real estate attorney. I was able to get an appointment on short notice (my fault). Mr. Brown met with me personally, took a great deal of time to explain procedures, as I was dealing in an out of state sale and an involved tax procedure. After a lot of delay on the opposite end,... and careful scrutiny by Mr. Brown and his wonderful staff ( kudos Ruti McCoy ) and many hours of diligence, the matter was settled to my great satisfaction. I would also like to say that I feel that the cost was very reasonable, and I will be using the firm again in the near future.

Who knew? As a first time homebuyer, with the Seller choosing the title and closing agent, I had no idea it was beneficial to secure my own representation. I figured since professionals were handling the ordering and drafting of documents for the seller, they were pretty standard, and I was relying o...n that. However, my parents counseled me that I needed my own protections as a purchaser, and referred me to Jim Brown's office. They had used him several times on past real estate transactions . Some issues occurred with my first contract which would have cost me tons to correct and affected my ability to sell later. I ended up finding a much better property and felt secure with the services Jim and staff provided to review my contract, title, survey and closing documents. If you are buying, do yourself a favor: call Jim and have him represent you. The peace of mind is worth the reasonable fee.
