Herbert Adams Weaver Jr.

Chairman of the firm’s Litigation Group, Adams Weaver has maintained a statewide practice in eminent domain and related land use litigation for over twenty years. In addition to his eminent domain and land use practice, Mr. Weaver has successfully litigated numerous complex commercial and contested probate matters including will contests involving millions of dollars of probate assets.  In a team effort with Sid Stubbs of our firm, Mr. Weaver was responsible for one of the largest condemnation awards in the history of Florida in the amount of $110,000,000.  Mr. Weaver is listed as a Florida Super Lawyer by Law & Politics Florida Super Lawyers Magazine; in The Best Lawyers in America; and as a Top Lawyer by South Florida Legal Guide.

Mr. Weaver is the past-Chair of The Florida Bar Eminent Domain CLE Manual Steering Committee (2008 and 2010); Past-Chair, Eminent Domain Committee, The Florida Bar; and Past-Vice-Chair Florida Bar Code and Rules of Evidence Committee (2003).  Mr. Weaver is often called upon to lecture at a variety of seminars on such topics as: Trying the Case – The Owner’s Perspective and Jury Instructions; Trial Strategy; Access; Pre-Condemnation Planning and Preparation of the Appraisal Witness; Mediation Strategy in Condemnation Cases; Techniques and Preparation for Cross Examination; Typical Road and Access Problems, Ethical Considerations and Litigating the Road Case; Why Wasn’t Your Property Taken? – Recent Developments in the Law of Regulatory Takings; Elements of a Condemnation Trial Based on Experience.
