David William Olson

When I found out there was a warrant out for my arrest in Florida for Felony Battery, I knew I needed to get a lawyer ASAP. I was very concerned about the type of lawyer I would find since there are many sleazy attorneys out there. Luckily, my best friend new someone that knew David Olson. From my... first conversation with David I knew he was a legitimate criminal defense attorney. He explained everything very clearly and walked me through the entire legal process. I went from panic mode to a sigh of relief after talking to David. Since I live in California, I had to fly to Florida to turn myself in. David put me in contact with a Bail Bondsman, Tommy, that explained everything that I needed to know about posting my bail. At this point, I felt like David totally had my back and really wanted to make sure I was OK. Probably, the biggest thing for which I want to thank David was the fact that he took care of my wife who was very nervous about me turning myself in that day. Although I posted bail immediately, it took 12 hours for the jail to release me. In that time, I had no contact with my wife so she began to panic. She called David and he assured her that everything was going to be OK and that the timeline was typical. My wife appreciated her conversation with David very much as did I. That same day I was eventually released and headed back to California. As David was litigating the case for me, he explained my options every step of the way. David was scheduled to fly out to California to conduct depositions from all the witnesses and we were ready to fight the charges all the way through trial. However, the judge offered up a plea deal that would result in no jail time and no criminal conviction and 3 years’ probation. David clearly explained my options and I decided to take the plea. After that, David convinced the judge to agree to an early termination on the probation after 1 year. This was a huge win for me because 3 years is a long time to have something like this hanging over my head. I finally got to meet David in person when I flew back to Florida to accept the plea. After the hearing was over I thought I was done with David’s services. He told me to let him know if I have any issues with my probation when I get back to California. Indeed, that is what happened. California accepted my transfer of probation and told me I had to complete an Anger Management class. I called David to see if he could help and he did. He called my parole officer and was able to remove this condition from my terms of parole. As I write this, David is still helping me with other special conditions of my parole. I thank David every time I speak with him. He has helped me so much during this difficult time. I would highly recommend David to anyone that needs a top notch criminal defense attorney.

I had the unfortunate experience of being accused by someone who was just looking to set me up and petitioned for an RO on me. Talking to Mr. Olson on the phone he was already very respectful and listened well. Meeting him just confirmed my impression. One thing that also stricked me was his professi...onalism. He spoke with confidence but none of that typical lawyer arrogance where like you are at their mercy begging to be represented. Typically one would be intimidated seeing his achievements hung on the wall, but Mr. Olson made you feel this was about helping you and not about him. Never did he once flaunt of his decades of experience. I felt safe and i "knew" he listened. And maybe in moments where like a lot of people lie about themselves, which i didn't, Mr. Olson still showed respect.I am hoping he did see the truth and that he was defending an innocent client who thought not perfect was also defending their own right, and Mr. Olson never made me feel like I had to compromise myself, my values and being human. He understood. And.. he gets back to you and he is not unreachable like most lawyers, from what I'm hearing from others. I don't know how he does it. He was so smooth and listened. And my nonsense and sometimes input that he probably felt was irrelevant ha ha, he still never made me feel my voice didn't matter. I think heaven sent him to me. We know sometimes justice doesn't prevail, but it did on this one. He won it so smoothly, effortlessly and humbly. I am forever grateful to what he did for me, he saved my life, my future and that of my child's as well. There are good lawyers out there. That are still human. It's possible. I made wrong choices picking some people, friends and well... but i did right on this one when i picked Mr. Olson. Oh and just in case i didn't emphasize it enough, yes he won my case... without effort!

David was exceptionally professional. He was a great communicator, and always responded to me in a very timely manner. I was extremely confident that he would be able to handle my case from the first time we met. The outcome of my case exceeded my expectations. I would recommend David without hesitat...ion!

Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation to David. My friend referred David to be my son's lawyer. It is very apparent to me that is really a lot more than that to him. Perhaps being a father himself kindles the compassion and understanding which he display. He went far above and beyond, ...not only helped my son get the best outcome for his case, but also coordinated with rehabs and got my son into long term treatment for his drug addiction. I have had the pleasure and good fortune of retaining Mr. Olson to defend me and cannot express in too many superlatives how thorough and attentive to my situation he was. My case was a very complicated and drawn out one but Mr. Olson was always there to discuss my thoughts and his strategies with ...me.
