Should I get an appraisal by auction, trade in, or retail in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. I owe on the car but there is some equity.

In West Palm Beach, all of the trustees use the same appraiser. You should go there to get the value.

Because this debt arose after the filing (taxes aren't due until 12/31), I do not believe it is a priority claim that arose before the case was...

As pointed out by others, credit reports to not establish liability. The judgment is valid for 20 years.

Until the agreement is agreed to in writing, it is not binding. A good mediator should be able to get creditor back to the table.
