Lawyers assisted in client deception

I engaged attorney Renita Henry in March 2018 to represent me in a Title IV-D child support case. However, my experience with Ms. Henry has been disappointing and troubling. Shockingly, during an email exchange on December 17, 2019, Ms. Henry admitted to opposing counsel Emily Phillips that she deli...berately omitted crucial financial details from calculating my monthly child support obligations. These omissions included Delaware State Tax, Wilmington City Tax, and Mandatory Retirement salary deductions, amounting to $1200, which represented the majority of my salary deductions. This admission contravened Florida Statutes 61.30 and 839.13 and constituted a severe misrepresentation of material fact and negligent behavior on Ms. Henry's part. Furthermore, Ms. Henry's withdrawal from the case on January 8, 2019, following coercive attempts to justify her omissions as temporary, left me to navigate proceedings pro se. Despite objections, General Magistrate Deborah Nabat Frankel supported the omissions during a temporary hearing on January 28, 2019, asserting that her verdict was temporary pending the inclusion of the omitted information at the final hearing. However, at the conclusive proceedings on April 29, 2019, Judge Scott M. Bernstein issued a similar order, advising me to file an appeal if I disagreed with the verdict. To date, attorney Renita Henry, though admitting to the opposing Counsel Emily Phillips in that email exchange that she had omitted my salary deductions, still has yet to admit that her action was a violation of the law and considered fraud and misrepresentation of material fact. Additionally, the omitted salary deductions are Delaware State Tax, Wilmington City Tax, and Mandatory Retirement salary deductions were in the total of $1200 and represented the majority of my salary deductions and also represented a deliberate action as she had even stated through another email exchange that the omissions represented a deviation from guidelines. Overall, my experience with attorney Renita Henry has been deeply troubling, and I cannot recommend her services to others based on her conduct in my case.
