Stephen Bruce Rakusin

Rakusin delayed my case, delayed filing motions, cost me a fortune, his office ledger for my case WASN'T EVEN DONE and there was no accountability whatsoever. He overcharged me so much and pled guilty to it in the Florida bar case. I had proof he was double charging not only ME, but his other c...lients for deposition transcripts... just stay away!!! Research his name on google! Call the Florida Bar! Ask around!!!! and I think it's so funny how his "5 star" reviews don't post their real names of their "real cases" -- I'm still dealing with the mess Stephen Rakusin did to me from "representing" me.... worst decision ever! The worst decision if my life was hiring Stephen Rakusin to represent me. THE WORST!!!! He should have just represented the other party in the case. If you are using him now, go over all your billing records very closely! Make calls to all vendors to verify costs. Any questions, call the ...Florida Bar and they can further assist you if you're having problems and they can direct you on what to do. If you're thinking about hiring him, don't. But you can search the Florida Bar's website for past discipline history, and the Florida Supreme Court website as him as a party, not as a lawyer. It's all public record. Search all the local counties where he's sued his own clients that he's "represented." Search his name and read the articles on the cases that he was the lawyer in. You'll see for yourself. I wish someone had given me the same advice. Good luck.
