I hired Mr. Ruiz to represent me in a Defense Base Act (DBA) case, and overall I’m very satisfied with the outcome and his representation. From the beginning, he was knowledgeable about the DBA process and helped guide me through each phase of the case, including mediation, settlement negotiations..., and final approval. He was able to successfully negotiate a favorable settlement on my behalf, and the case was ultimately approved by the Department of Labor without any issues. There were times during the process where things moved slower than I expected, especially during the paperwork and approval stage, but I’ve since learned that much of that timing is part of the federal process and not necessarily within the attorney’s control. What stood out most was that the case was handled correctly, the settlement was solid, and everything was completed properly through approval. He also made sure that any outstanding benefit issues were addressed as part of closing out the case. I would recommend Mr. Ruiz to anyone dealing with a DBA or workers’ compensation claim who wants experienced representation and a strong result.
