I have hired Matthew as counsel for multiple issues from 2018-Present. He has provided high-end service for both my personal affairs through real estate legal services and my small business. As a first time home buyer in 2018 I was quickly coerced into making an offer on a townhouse. The real est...ate agents representing me did not disclose that they were "transactional agents" until I made an offer. The real estate agents did not best represent my interests as "transactional agents" have no fiduciary responsibility. I hired Matthew to review the contract and act as the "point-man" for my communication with the real estate agents. Matthew made several key edits to the contract when I made my counter-offer to the seller's counter-offer. THIS WAS CRITICAL! The key edits changed the sale away from as-is and we later found out the real estate agents did not disclose water damage in the garage, a malfunctioning HVAC system, and roof damage caused by Hurricane Irma. Because of Matthew and his persistent actions in the transaction, the seller was responsible for the repairs. This was a savings of $8000 on my end in future repairs. When the two real estate agents walked off the job after they were guaranteed commission Matthew was there. He provided services at the close and the level of quality was incredible.
