Russell Jay Williams

Russell J. Williams is a seasoned attorney with a career spanning decades in criminal law and defense. Originally from Staten Island, New York, he graduated from The State University of New York at Stony Brook before moving to South Florida in 1984 to attend the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. Graduating in 1987, Russell interned at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, where he discovered his passion for criminal defense. He began his career with a private practitioner, refining his skills in legal research, motion arguments, and trial work. In 1990, he became a partner at Roderman & Williams, practicing for five years before establishing The Law Office of Russell J. Williams P.A. in 1995. In 2014, he joined Williams Hilal & Wigand, LLC, focusing on diverse legal areas, including family law, product liability, and wrongful death. Russell has also shared his expertise by teaching criminal procedure to Florida Probation and Parole Officers, earning accolades for his knowledge.
