Gerald W. Adams

Not a "Men's Rights" attorney. He hurts everyone in the case, but mostly his client. "Jerry" Gerald Adams of Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach County and "Family Law Clinic" acted like a rude, mentally ill teenager towards me and other clients that I witnessed in his office; he used threats to not only wit...hdraw but to hurt my case if I did not involuntarily give him a "new retainer". He increased this "new retainer" 4 times immediately after I retained him. I had a really simple case and he took all of my money and gave me a much worse outcome than I likely would have obtained if I spoke to the Judge honestly without Gerald "Jerry" Adams.

1st he told me to stop paying support. I was later criticized for stopping the payments. He absolutely did NOT advocate for me. When I tried to discuss/question his actions, he asked me to leave his office. Bait & Switch #1: web site claims the firm to be "father's rights attorneys"; they didn't... even do what most divorce attorneys do. He immediately switched my case to another attorney. Baith & Switch #2: Originally agreed on a certain amount monthly, but when I went to discuss my issues with their performance, he told me I'd have to pay almost 2x the amount. Then asked me to leave his office and said he wouldn't represent me. Lost paperwork 3x s.

A former girlfriend took me to court for child support. I was upset! I knew I wasn't the father, but she insisted that I was. Mr. Adams helped me prove that the child was not mine, and he got me out of paying support for a child that I didn't father. It was a relief to have someone I knew would... help me.

I lost my job and the new job I got was at a much lower salary. I contacted Jerry to see if there was anything I could do about the amount of child support I was paying. I want to be a good father, but I simply could not continue to pay what I was paying. Jerry got my child support payment reduced... and I actually have more time with my child. If I have the need for a family law attorney in the future, I will call Jerry.
