I first hired Mr. Van Der Wall in the late 1970's when wanted to file a patent on a new concept of mine. I needed to have it researched, written, and filed with the USPTO, Was impressed with his work and have since used his talents on many of the some 50 patents that have been issued to me. Back in 1998 when the web was still in its infancy, I was in Barranquilla Colombia searching for a patent attorney on the web. After reviewing several I decided to call Bob and was impressed by his thorough explanation of what would be involved in patenting an invention. After receiving a non discl...osure agreement, I visited him and explained what I wanted to patent. Just a few days later he had detailed information of the possibilities which he explained with no reservations as to how strong my patent would be. He was able to secure a reasonable strong patent that would enable me to proceed to develop my product and obtain a patent. This was a long process, in all from start to finish, six years, due to the intricacies of the product, but Bob forged ahead and was successful. During this process I was gratified to find that I had encountered a very personable, honest gentleman, whom you could do business with a handshake but, with who more importantly, was profoundly immersed in the patent laws.
