5 stars do not do this man justice. Professional. Authentic. Honest. Patrick Wilson was introduced to me by the senior partner of the latest law firm that I had hired. I was informed that Pat is the DUI specialist in the firm and he would be taking the lead on my case. At this point I had already h...ired two other criminal defense attorneys and spent 3 years in county jail on a no-bond pretrial detention order. Pat came to see me at the county jail and I explained to him my situation. Right away he asked me a series of questions that the other attorneys never did. His experience in his profession and criminal defense cases shined through right away. During our consultations, he provided a lot of insight about my case. Unknown information is the greatest contributor to fear. Pat very quickly earned my trust because he was honest, hardworking, and unique. He did not make promises or give me unrealistic expectations and was not afraid to deeply dissect situations and entertain the possible outcomes. He made me feel less afraid in the toughest moment in my life because he gave me hard facts and not theories. I received more useful information through his consultations than I did with my other paid attorneys. The discussions were clear and the proposed outcomes were realistic. Which in turn created a bond between Pat and myself that soon turned into a friendship. The best thing about Pat is that he is the type of attorney I could trust— both in character and skill sets. At this point Pat and my legal team came in for a conference as usual. We went over depositions, expert witness preparations, and strategies. After an exhausting couple hours, I was informed that Pat had far exceeded the rate of growth that the firm could sustain and would be opening his own practice. As you can imagine, my heart dropped here. I am in jail and the shooting star of an attorney that was handling my case was leaving. Well, that was not the case because Pat assured me that he would see my case through to the end. Throughout the process of court, Pat was always by far the most enthusiastic and engaging attorney. This was true throughout the multitude of court dates. One court date in particular, Pat recognized an opportunity to speak to the ASA to negotiate a deal even if he felt at the time that it was difficult. He went for it anyways. His ability to sense and seize an opportunity is due to his experience and his confidence in his skill sets. Pat did not turn away from “difficult” and “uncomfortable” situations; he was able to land an unheard deal for me. Every dollar spent on hiring Pat was more than worth it. I cannot be more satisfied with his service. He is an honest professional who truly keeps his client’s best interest and outcome in the highest regard.
