Marcela Irimiea

My name is Marcela Irimiea, and I am an attorney with MMD Law Advocates in Miami, Florida. My legal career spans more than 25 years across two countries, Romania and the United States. Throughout my career, I have represented individuals, families, homeowners, and businesses facing a wide range of legal challenges.
I began practicing law in Romania after graduating cum laude from Ovidius University in 1998. As a member of the Tulcea Bar, I represented clients in civil, family, administrative, and criminal defense matters. After moving to the United States, I continued my legal education at the University of Miami School of Law, where I earned my Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2011. That same year, I was admitted to The Florida Bar.
Since becoming a Florida attorney, much of my practice has focused on civil litigation, particularly disputes between property owners and their insurance companies. I have participated in the litigation of hundreds of property insurance cases involving homeowners, condominium associations, and businesses. My professional experience includes participation in jury trials and appellate proceedings before Florida's Fourth District Court of Appeal. I am also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
My legal background extends beyond insurance litigation and includes family law, estate planning, probate matters, and other civil disputes. Having practiced law in two different legal systems, I have developed a strong appreciation for thorough preparation, attention to detail, and the importance of tailoring legal strategies to the unique circumstances of each case.
I understand that people often seek legal representation when facing challenges, they cannot easily resolve on their own. Whether a matter involves a family dispute, financial loss, or the protection of property and assets, I believe clients deserve clear explanations, realistic expectations, and an attorney who takes their concerns seriously. I approach each case with that responsibility in mind.
Outside my legal practice, my greatest joy comes from my family. I am especially proud of my son, who graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2026 and now serves as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Space Force. Watching his dedication and hard work lead him to this important chapter in his life has been one of my most rewarding experiences as a parent.
I also enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and spending quality time with family and friends. These experiences remind me of the importance of maintaining meaningful relationships and appreciating life beyond professional accomplishments.
My journey from practicing law in Romania to building a legal career in Florida has shaped who I am, both professionally and personally. I bring that experience, determination, and perspective to the work I do for my clients every day.
