Fred Viera

Fred Viera was born and raised in Miami. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami as a finance major.  After college, Fred attended the University of Florida, where he earned his Juris Doctor as well as a Masters in Real Estate & Urban Analysis.  Fred was later awarded a full tuition fellowship to earn his M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business in Charlottesville, and graduated in 2013 with a concentration in entrepreneurship.  He returned to Miami to leverage his dual background in law and business to help clients launch new ventures, and to protect them from the threat of costly litigation.

Fred is experienced in various practice areas, including real estate transactions and litigation, corporate counseling, insurance disputes, complex business litigation, employment matters, and general commercial practice.  He has litigated numerous cases in state and federal courts throughout Florida.  He has several published written opinions.  Fred has handled numerous residential and commercial real estate closing transactions and has litigated numerous large deposit dispute cases.  He has also taught several real estate licensing courses as an instructor approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission.  Fred is available to provide counsel in matters involving quantitative complexity and strategy consulting for business.

Fred has volunteered at local schools participating in the Florida Bar’s Justice Teaching program and has served pro bono as a guardian ad litem.  With a passion for education reform, Fred also seeks to provide guidance and counseling to high-performing charter schools, and he also handles select cases advocating for special needs children under the federal I.D.E.A. law (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).  Fred loves to spend time with his three boys and his wife Vivienne, a teacher in the Miami-Dade Public School System.
