Imani Jere' Waters

Imani Jere’ Waters is a Senior Personal Injury Associate Attorney at Alex Hanna. Ms. Waters was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia. Even as an adolescent, Ms. Waters always wanted to help others.

Ms. Waters began her legal career in high school interning for Judge James F. Council in Valdosta, Georgia. After graduating at the top of her class at Lowndes High School, she matriculated to Florida A&M University where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2017. While in college, she interned for the Akbar Thomas law firm prior to admittance into law school. In 2020, Ms. Waters graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law. During law school, Ms. Waters served as the business managing editor for law review, participated in the American Bar Association client counseling competitions, and served as a summer law clerk for Gary, Williams, Parenti, Watson & Gary as well as Chief Federal Bankruptcy Judge Laurel M. Isicoff. All of these experiences molded her into a well-rounded and understanding advocate for her clients.

Prior to joining Alex Hanna, Ms. Waters worked for Morgan & Morgan where she handled car accidents and trucking accidents. Ms. Waters has continuously been a strong proponent for the underrepresented. As such, she truly understands what it means to “provide quality legal services” in every aspect of her representation.

In her spare time, Ms. Waters enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs. She also enjoys managing her rental business, writing, and traveling.
