Ruben Alcoba is a Miami patent attorney. He has personally handled over 1500 patent and trademark law matters: he focuses his practice on patent and trademark prosecution, in layman terms, he prepares patent and trademark applications and prosecutes them before the U.S.Patent and Trademark Office.
In addition, Mr. Alcoba is a business lawyer that handles all types of corporate matters. He helps his corporate clients obtain immigration benefits, such as EB-1, EB-2, E-2 and L-1 Visas.
He is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Alcoba received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Florida International University in 1995, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1998, and in 2012 he received an LLM from the Thomas Jeffeson School of Law in Innternational Taxation and FInancial Services. He served in the United States Army from 1985 to 1988.
