Yolanda M. Mendoza

Yolanda M. Mendoza is a dedicated immigration attorney whose passion for public service is deeply rooted in her own immigration experience. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Harlem, New York City, her multicultural heritage enriches her empathetic approach to client advocacy. Her legal career was sparked at age 17 when she adeptly assisted a family member in navigating the immigration process, culminating in a favorable outcome. During her tenure at Suffolk Law School, Ms. Mendoza actively engaged in advocacy work, conducting legal education sessions and representing asylum seekers, significantly impacting her legal acumen. Her notable success in the 2014 First Circuit Court of Appeals case exemplified her ability to challenge and change precedent in immigration law. Her professional foundation was further established through her role as an immigration paralegal and as a Spanish interpreter. Today, as a member of the Massachusetts Bar and an active participant in AILA’s New Jersey and Florida Chapters, Ms. Mendoza operates with a singular focus on Immigration and Naturalization law, representing clients across all 50 states.
