Biography
Ms. Pina-Brito is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University-Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has been practicing law since 1997. She began her legal career as a Certified Legal Intern with the Dade County State Attorney’s Office where she handled a number of cases under the supervision of the State Attorney, Katherine Fernandez Rundle and her Staff of Assistant State Attorneys. Ms. Pina-Brito has focused her practice primarily in the civil arena handling matters in the areas of Real Estate, Commercial and Insurance Law. She is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and is actively litigating cases at the State, Federal and Appellate levels.
Academically, Ms. Pina-Brito has taught students seeking to enter the legal profession and written articles of legal concern. One of the articles titled "Comment. Despite the Controversy Surrounding the Helms-Burton Act, Its End is Far from Becoming a Reality" was published by the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law in its 1998 Bilingual Edition.
