Mr. Kaplan was placed on my case because the state was attempting to terminate my rights as a parent. Mr. Kaplan diligently jumped aboard, filed to receive all pertinent documentation, and to review any and all transcripts and recordings that were possible for him to receive. He is the first lawyer i...n almost four years that took the time to read my entire file as well as review other documentation, I presented tI him, that was not properly placed in my court file. This attorney took the time to speak to other Advocates on my case to get a full picture of the disservice that the system had done to my family. While we are still in the litigation concerning my daughter, I feel extremely confident that the work that Mr. Kaplan has done has significantly changed the dynamic ofor my proceedings and I am seein promising results. This was long overdue, however Mr. Kaplan is perusing a timely closure to this case. I hired Ken, after researching his record with the domestic relations and appellate courts, to handle an appeal of my divorce case petitioned by my now ex-husband.. After an initial phone conversation, I met with Ken in his office to discuss the case and I retained him that day. Ken immediately g...ot to work on the appeal and contacted me as soon as he learned I had prevailed. For over a year now, Ken has remained my attorney as my ex has continually filed motion after motion and finally another appeal; an appeal we once again prevailed on. Before court, Ken is very good at letting you know the position he will take as well as giving his opinion on how he feels your case should play out. In court, he is very attentive; often catching inaccuracies posed by the other side and pointing them out. In negotiations, he relies on his client but doesn't shy away from giving his opinion. At times when it is warranted, Ken will simply remind you to hold your temper and/or attitude; an issue that creeps up on even the best of us when faced with such emotional and serious financial issues. Not once have I ever had an issue reaching Ken, even on weekends, nor has he ever failed to contact me back when needed. His office staff is small yet proficient, friendly and most importantly, they remember his clients. I could not have asked for a better appellate and overall attorney to handle my case as it continued and I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a family attorney.

Mr. Kaplan is all bark, no bite. He tells you what you want to hear but then takes little significant action. He was late to a hearing scheduled by his office. His work/staff's work had serious errors in it from day one including the wrong county/court, wrong use of hers/his, causing me to review a...nd correct several times each document. He over billed me for tens of hours requiring me to go back into my cell phone records to set the invoice straight...every single time. Mr. Kaplan never fought for me, he takes the easy road and just lays down due to laziness when he's against a better lawyer.
